What are the benefits of Pilates?
By practising Pilates regularly, you can achieve a number of health benefits, including improved core strength and stability, improved posture and balance, improved flexibility and joint mobility, prevention of injury and rehabilitation, efficient movement through activities of daily living, relieving stress and tension, and an enhanced sense of general well-being.
Can Pilates help reduce back pain?
There's some evidence that Pilates can provide pain relief to people with non-specific lower back pain, based on the information provided by the NHS and other healthcare providers. For the exercises to be effective, they need to be practised regularly and tailored to the individual’s needs. If you suffer from back pain, please check with your GP or health practitioner before you sign up for our classes.
Can Pilates help with weight loss?
Practising Pilates regularly can be beneficial for your health and help you maintain a healthy weight and a healthy lifestyle. If one of your goals is to lose weight, try to combine Pilates with a healthy diet and some aerobic activities, such as swimming, walking and cycling.
Pilates is adaptable for all ages and it’s easy to get started. You can book online through our online booking system, Gymcatch.
